The IRS Gripes Snipes

After being indicted over a year ago, Wesley Snipes had his day in court. Literally a day. After speculation about what celebrities were going to arrive in Florida for his trial on Monday, the defense team rested, calling no witnesses. The trial has been short, and greatly overlooked by the MSM and the alternative media, which is interesting because, last week there were reports about a 600 page letter that Snipes allegedly wrote after being indicted. Since then the truth has become more clear, the letter was actually 28 pages with a 600 page attachment, including the book,AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE MEANING OF THE TERM ‘UNITED STATES.’ In the letter Snipes is reported as saying that he had “no ill intent,” but clearly felt that the IRS did, “The IRS deceives people to ‘terrorize, enslave, rape or pillage’ taxpayers.”

But the letter reveals much more, he claims that his name is not WESLEY TRENT SNIPES, but it is Wesley Trent Snipes. He even stated that he has no SS number and no tax ID number, these moves are foreign to most, but to some it is the biggest leap towards freedom that any man could make, and it is likely the reason that this trial is has been ignored.

People are fighting the system by dropping out of it. When our names appear in all caps, it is not actually our name, but a government created corporation cleverly disguised to resemble our names. We all participate in this illusion, like when we accept credit cards and State issed ID, but Wesley Snipes seems to have stopped participating and that became unacceptable to the IRS.

On Tuesday the court heard the closing arguments, and Wednesday a jury will decide if Snipes is guilty of the six counts of failing to file tax returns, two of fraudulently claiming tax refunds and one of conspiracy to defraud the government. He is facing sixteen years in prison. The most interesting comments yesterday came from Snipes in a People magazine article,

When asked if he plans on paying his taxes when the trial is over, Snipes told PEOPLE he remains confused as to what the IRS wants of him.”I’ve always been paying my taxes and I’ve always been trying to comply,” he says. “This question is, did they tell you what you’re supposed to do to comply? We should be able to go to our government and get clear answers.”

PAUL DEFEATS CLINTON IN CLINTON COUNTRY

MIDDLETOWN, CONNECTICUT - Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul defeated Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in the first straw poll to pit Republicans against Democrats on the same ballot. Middletown, CT held its city straw poll Saturday night at the Church of Holy Trinity. Proceeds from the $10 fee for participating were donated to the Connecticut Breast Cancer Coalition. Paul led on the first ballot with 42 percent to Clinton’s 30 percent and Obama’s 20 percent. Other candidates received 2 percent or less. Other trailing candidates were eliminated and on the third ballot Paul prevailed 46 to 42 percent.

Bryan Tracy, who is with the Paul campaign in Connecticut, said although the Clinton supporters in Middletown were surprised, he wasn’t.

“This shows Ron Paul’s electability in the general election,” Tracy said. “We think that when people get a chance to compare our stands on the issues with Hillary’s, we will prevail.”

Ron Paul ‘Under-The-Radar’ Strategy To Succeed In Super Tuesdays

LAWFUEL – "The Legal & Political Newswire - Ron Paul, the self-confessed “reluctant candidate” for the presidency believes he has an an ‘under-the-radar’ strategy to help succeed in the Super Tuesday election.

In a message to supporters he says he has a hunch he will do very well in the Super Tuesday primaries.

“But, of course, the media and the rest of the establishment refuse to recognize that. It's the attitude of the small child who covers his eyes to make something scary go away. But we are not going away.ge to supporters Ron Paul said he has a hunch he will do very well.”

The Super Tuesday primaries and caucuses are set for February 5. Dr Paul says his huge, grassroots support is his biggest asset and one that will let him compete very well in the elections.

“You all are an asset that no other campaign has: donors, and activists who want no special deals from the government, just the Constitution.”

Dr Paul said his opponents, in their advocacy of greater spending, inflation and taxes, were ‘wet.’ His message went on to explain:

“And we're committed to winning states. I have little doubt that if we can double our efforts in this coming week, we're going to grab many delegates from other candidates. Then we'll start getting ready for the biggest moment of all - the convention in September.

“The path to the convention is twisty, however. When we were in Iowa, we got 10% of the vote. But no delegates were awarded that night. That's because voters didn't directly choose national convention delegates; they selected the county and state delegates who will make that decision. And if another candidate like Mike Huckabee is no longer in the race at the time of the state convention in June, his delegates are free to support whomever they want. If we work extra hard, we can convert them into delegates for our campaign!

“A similar thing happened in Nevada. We won 14% of the straw poll vote that the media reported on, but what they didn't tell you was that we may have gotten up to a third of Nevada's delegates to their county conventions! I always laughed when I heard some people say Nevada didn't matter. Nevada chooses more delegates to the national convention than South Carolina.

“So, while the media will focus on the results from Florida, and probably take down the campaign of my friend Rudy in the process, those results are less important to you and me. Let them fight in Florida while we bring our message to Americans in other areas, like the economically hard-hit state of Maine.

We want to win as many delegates to the Republican National Convention as possible, even if other campaigns don't see some areas of the country as "important. But in this work, I need your help. Help me get many, many delegates to this historic convention, by these three methods.”

Paul Chances Cut In Half

"With the Florida Primary vote scheduled for Tuesday January 29th, 2008 plenty of Point-Spreads.com readers are interested in Ron Paul Presidential Betting Odds after reading my article published yesterday titled Mike Huckabee on Easter Egg Hunt, Ron Paul poised to surge in FL. Two readers were not pleased about the betting odds being so high and now on the eve of the Florida Primary, betting odds on Ron Paul winning the Republican Nomination have been slashed from 25 to 1 down to 10 to 1 odds at BodogLife.com.

Republican Presidential hopefuls such as John McCain, Mike Huckabee and Rudy Guiliani do not have the dough to survive that far beyond Florida giving Texas Congressman Ron Paul a nice advantage to outlast the other lower tiered candidates and gobble up some of their support once they leave the race. All of the Republican Presidential Candidates are in full campaign mode down in Florida trying to win the delegate rich state.

Arizona Senator John McCain needs a win in Florida in order to give his campaign a financial boost. A win would give McCain the ability to raise more money heading into Super Tuesday which happens to have several states voting in his Southwest Stronghold. BodogLife.com has John McCain at even money to win the Florida Primary with 1 to 1 odds.

McCain has sealed some key endorsements in Florida, including one from popular Governor Charlie Crist and another one from Florida Republican Senator Mel Martinez. Both were blows to Rudy Guiliani’s Presidential Campaign. Guiliani has been wooing Governor Crist for months so Chalie’s endorsement of McCain was particularly devastating. Unfortunately, it looks like the strategy to launch his campaign in Florida is backfiring on the former New York City Mayor. Guiliani is 11 to 10 odds to win the Florida Primary.

A Point-Spreads.com reader by the name Wavalene had this to say about Ron Paul Presidential Betting Odds:

Iraq War Planned Pre-911

Are you having a hard time convincing people that the Iraq war is bogus and planned before 911. Here is a video of a 60 minutes interview that was not aired. In it Paul O’Neil, Bush’s former Secrtary of Treasure explains W’s first day in office. Very interesting.
